Chairman's Message

Salisbury Cathedral School is unique, distinctive and very special. It sits within a glorious setting tucked below one of the most iconic Cathedral buildings in Western Europe. It has a strong sense of community and a first-rate commitment to see each individual child thrive and grow to their full potential. We have a long and distinguished history but look towards the future in our community of learning. We aspire to be forward-looking and open to any family who wish to benefit from excellence in teaching and learning.

Salisbury Cathedral School has high ambitions to provide the very best to our pupils. We aspire to the developing of new and innovative ways to maximise the potential of our physical facilities alongside academic, pastoral and other extracurricular provision.

In order to do this we need your support. The challenge for us together is to fund our ambitions. We have no large endowment or state or church funding. If we are to maintain this very special place with its inclusive ethos we need to rely on the support of parents and alumnae.

So I ask you to read carefully the opportunities that are contained in these pages. Come and see us for yourself. Revisit the school that nurtured you. It is my hope that those within our wider community will do whatever they can to ensure that the Cathedral School can continue to thrive in the future.

The Revd Canon Professor James Woodward Ph.D.
