The Boarding House is run by the Head of Boarding, Mrs Bee Bedford. Bee has a wealth of experience in running a boarding house having worked in numerous schools throughout her career. The boarding staff are located in the heart of the school and encourage a strong family ethos. As most children do go on to board at their next school, we encourage the pupils to be part of the boarding house.

Bee is supported by a committed team of teaching and non-teaching staff, many of whom cover the duties in the House overnight and at weekends.

They are assisted by:

Debbie Lewin

Rosie Whittock

Jake Reynolds

Karen Thomas

Anita Thorne

The Gap Students assist with wake up and bedtime.

Bee’s role in the school day includes assisting in the School Nurse, Mrs Jan Hunt, in providing round the clock care and support. The Boarding House feels like home-from-home and whilst it sits snugly away from the main School building, in a quiet corner of the Close, boarding is an integral part of school life. Boarding is hugely popular, largely because the children enjoy spending time together, making full use of opportunities within the School grounds and those afforded by the favourable location of the city of Salisbury.
