Year 3 Trip to Wagamama

Year 3 visited Wagamama in Salisbury last Wednesday as part of their Healthy Eating science topic.

The children heard all about the countries where the restaurants are found and that their Japanese name means ‘Naughty Child’! Each group took part in a range of activities, including weighing noodles and chicken, tasting seaweed, ginger, picked cucumber and hot spices. The final activity was their favourite! The children chose fruits and vegetables to make their own drinks and watch as everything turned into a fantastically coloured healthy drink. The morning ended with a delicious noodle lunch, prepared by the children, all washed down with their delicious drinks.

The children were buzzing as they headed back to school, each clutching a generous goody bag and talking about all the healthy foods they had discovered. An amazing experience, all thanks to a very generous local restaurant!
