Music Roundup

This week brought a delightfully eclectic concert from some of our singers. We had unaccompanied singing, folk songs, psalms, show songs and two very different performances of “Summertime”, one with James Bond lurking in the background! Thank you to all the children who performed, and also to Mr Lawson for his help preparing the singers and accompanying them.

I have exciting news about a concert coming up after half term. On Saturday 30th March, Salisbury Symphony Orchestra will be performing Sibelius Symphony No. 2 and Bruch Violin Concerto, with our very own violin teacher Marian Givens as the violin soloist. This splendid orchestra is led by our other violin teacher, Ros Bromley, and also features other SCS teachers and family members.

The concert will take place in the City Hall at 7.30pm.
