Year 8 Music Scholars give a outstanding performance

The Year 8 Music Scholars gave an outstanding concert on their first instruments. The standard of playing was exceptional, as was the camaraderie in evidence. These 12 and 13 year olds were playing well beyond their years. I am so proud of them all, they have worked really hard over the holidays (which, bearing in mind they were all at school until Christmas Day, is particularly impressive) and it has been an absolute pleasure to practise and prepare with them. It was lovely to see a number of current Year 7s in the audience, looking ahead to what they will be doing in a year’s time! We wish the Year 8s all the very best of luck as they visit their senior schools to take their scholarships in the weeks ahead. Miss Lamb, Director of Music.
