Year 7 Conservation Day on the Cranborne Estate

Year 7 Conservation Day on the Cranborne Estate

Year 7 visited the Cranborne Estate and had the chance to see some of the brilliant ways farmers are creating habitats for wildlife whose populations have declined in recent years. We also were taught how to lay hedges which interestingly is King Charles’s favourite hobby! It makes hedges a much better home and corridor for birds, mammals and insects. Some of my favourite parts of the day included seeing hares, grey partridges and other rare ground nesting birds, and creating video reports on our learning. We’re now making group presentations, evaluating whether we can produce food and conserve wildlife. by Harry M (Year 7)
