Year 6 have enjoyed blasting their pneumatic rockets into space! They constructed their rockets from rolled A4 paper, card fins and nose cones. The rockets were launched using compressed air (3 BAR / 40 PSI) which was produced using a foot pump. Most rockets achieved altitudes of over 40 metres (130ft) - that’s twice the height of Beauchamp Tower!
Peter W was this year’s clear winner - achieving a height of 58 metres (190ft) - that’s even higher than Nelson’s Column (52m)!
Well done to all the year 6 rocketeers for their effort and enthusiasm.
