Year 6 - All at Sea on the Jolie Brise

Year 6 pupils had four epic voyages, across two days, on Dauntsey’s 100 year old Jolie Brise. The children participated in all aspects of sailing including throttling the engine, helming, pulling up the sails and stowing the fenders and ropes. All the children demonstrated great enthusiasm and courage, many of them climbing out onto the bowsprit and climbing up the mast - even in torrential rain and hailstones! 

A huge thanks to the children for their enthusiasm and SCS staff for supporting the trips and covering lessons. A special thanks to Dauntsey’s School and crew for providing such memorable sailing experiences!
