Eight children from Year 5 went to Sherborne and Sherborne Girls on Thursday to take part in a ‘Cracking the Code’ day. They completed activities such as extracting the DNA from a kiwi fruit; cracking mathematical codes; and deciphering obscure languages. The other highlights were the periodic table biscuits and the incredible lunch! The children finished their day by having a group photo next to the bust of Alan Turing, a former pupil of Sherborne who knew a lot about cracking codes. The children had an enjoyable day and represented SCS very well.
