Year 4 visit Butser Ancient Farm

Year 4 have been learning about Vikings in history and are currently reading the book ‘How to train your dragon’ by Cressida Cowell in English. Dressed as very impressive looking Vikings the Year 4 children and their teachers visited Butser Ancient Farm in Waterlooville where they made jewellery and sewed their initials in runes. They dug in a gridded pit like real archaeologists and made a fence from oak and hazel.
