Salisbury Cathedral School art competition winners announced
Multiple students of the Salisbury Cathedral School won the honour of having their works displayed in the Vanner Gallery for a month after David Christie, director of the gallery, announced the winners of the school's summer art competition.
Seventy young artists rose to the challenge of painting mini masterpieces inspired by the unique styles of renowned artists Lucinda Coldrey and Liza Butterworth, both of whom are hosting a charity exhibition at the school this half term, from Monday, October 16 to Wednesday, October 18. The entries were divided into four categories – pre-prep, prep, upper prep, and former pupils. Winners were chosen in each category as well as an overall winner for the competition.
Nick Hawker, acting head of Salisbury Cathedral School, said: "This exhibition not only celebrates the artistic talent of our students but also the school's commitment to nurturing their creative abilities. We are extremely grateful to Vanner Gallery for their support, which really inspired our pupils with the priceless opportunity to see their work on display in a professional gallery."
