Choristers and Candle Bearers Shine at Darkness to Light Services
Last weekend, Salisbury Cathedral was transformed during the annual Darkness to Light Services, a deeply moving tradition marking the beginning of Advent. At the heart of this poignant event were our talented choristers, whose soaring voices brought a sense of awe and reflection to the proceedings.
Equally inspiring were our pupil candle bearers, who guided the clergy and congregation through the symbolic transition from darkness to light. The flickering glow of their candles, combined with the ethereal music, created a profound and memorable atmosphere for all in attendance.
This special occasion highlights the unique role our children play in the life of the Cathedral, offering them the chance to develop confidence, embrace tradition, and contribute to a shared spiritual journey. We are immensely proud of their dedication and the grace with which they carried out their roles.
