Alongside our choristers were our new Probationers, who have made a wonderful start as they begin their journey towards becoming full members of the Cathedral Choir. They have been very busy learning new music and getting to know the routines of chorister life. They were particularly excited to be fitted for their new robes and ruffs and looked very smart indeed!

It has been a fantastic start to the term, and with so much music and so many services and special occasions to come, our choristers have a very busy and exciting few months ahead, in the run-up to Christmas.

The choristers have sung their first services of the new term. It was wonderful to welcome them back to the Quire and to hear their voices filling the Cathedral once again after the long summer break.

During Evensong earlier this term, five of our Year 8 boys were also officially promoted to Senior Choristers. Congratulations to Jacob, Samuel, Oscar, Cassius and Harry on this achievement, which recognises their commitment, hard work and contribution to the Choir.

We look forward to seeing them take on their new responsibilities as the senior members of the Choir over the coming year.
