Leave a Legacy
Your Legacy, Their Future
For generations, Salisbury Cathedral School has inspired children to be curious, compassionate, and creative. By including the school in your will, you can leave a lasting legacy that helps future pupils thrive in our supportive and inspiring environment.
Salisbury Cathedral School is a registered charity (No. 1093554V), which means your gift can go even further. Charitable gifts are exempt from inheritance tax and may reduce the tax due on the remainder of your estate. For example, for every £10,000 you leave to the school, you might save £4,000 in inheritance tax. Please speak to your professional advisor to find out more.
Why Your Legacy Matters
Every gift, no matter the size, contributes to the life of the school. Your generosity could help a young musician perform in the cathedral, allow a pupil to explore our outdoor learning spaces, or fund bursaries that make an exceptional education accessible to more children.

In 2014, Jules Lewis-Thompson was a single parent of three children struggling to make ends meet. Her youngest son, Max, showed extraordinary musical promise but had limited opportunities in their rural Devon home. When Max received a music scholarship and bursary to attend Salisbury Cathedral School, everything changed.
Under the care and encouragement of staff, Max thrived — becoming Head Boy, pursuing advanced music qualifications, and later sharing his love of music with children in Colombia before studying at the University of Manchester. Meanwhile, the stability provided by his scholarship gave Jules the chance to rebuild her own life, completing an MBA, finding meaningful work, and helping her daughters achieve their own ambitions.
“When I look back, I realise the scholarship offered to Max gave us far more than a musical education. It gave us hope, stability, and the foundations for all of us to grow. It rippled through my life, my daughters’ lives, Max’s future, and even reached children in Colombia. I will always be deeply grateful to Salisbury Cathedral School, and to the generosity of those who made his scholarship possible.”
Your legacy could make a story like Max’s possible for another child.
