Important Information
Please note that the bus routes run by the school may change depending on the needs of the Salisbury Cathedral School families. The routes run by Godolphin may also change from time to time and up to date information can be found on the Godolphin website.
In case of excess demand, places on school buses are allocated in the following order of priority:
1. SCS Pupils
2. Godolphin Pupils
3. Siblings from SCS and Godolphin
4. Children from other schools by distance/frequency of use (further away/more regular use to have priority).
5. For children from school other than SCS and Godolphin the place on the bus will be confirmed for half a term at a time.
Please could parents:

Ensure they are waiting with their children at the bus stop in plenty of time (approximately 5 mins) to board the bus to keep the bus on schedule. The bus will need to leave promptly and cannot wait for latecomers.

Attempt to limit the number of bags the children take on the bus and avoid long straps which may prove a safety hazard.

In cases of bad weather (i.e. snow) please check the School Websites for travel information.
Please could children:

Be kind and polite on their journey.

Travel calmly and happily to school.

Look after their belongings.

Not waste time in getting to their class.
All escorts/helpers will:

Commence journeys with a charged mobile phone which contains the Salisbury Cathedral School phone number. The Bursar will alert schools/parents in the event of any incident.

Assist children on and off the bus safely.

Ensure children are calm and happy and secure within seat belts.

Report any Health & Safety concerns to the Bursar. Any medical conditions will have been notified to the escort who has undergone a basic First Aid user’s course.

Mark a register every day and pass it to the Bursar for billing purposes.
The driver will:

Carry a folder with procedures that should be followed in the event of an accident or breakdown. School policies regarding restraint, code of conduct, child protection and health and safety procedures will be adhered to. All buses carry First Aid provisions and Fire Extinguishers.
Charges
Route S1 and Feeder Bus are charges by Salisbury Cathedral School.
Bus Fares are per trip, charged termly in arrears and will appear as an extra on your invoice.
For SCS routes only, the first child will pay full price, the second child 75% and the third child 50%.
