Year 8 visit the World Heritage Jurassic Coast

Year 8 visited the World Heritage Jurassic Coast in Dorset to explore the relationship between the geology and the coastal land forms. At Durlston, near Swanage it is possible to see the rocks from 135 million years ago up to the present. Limestone headlands with dinosaur fossils and chalk cliffs created by flooding at the end of the ice age. Despite the impressive coastal features it is probably the fish and chips the pupils will remember.

Thanks to all who helped bring about this most enjoyable trip.
