Secret keys and hidden doors

The idea of secret keys conjures up rusty locks and secret doors, and the Owls and Badgers had a chance to explore lots of these when they visited the Cathedral as part of their topic, Salisbury - Our City. The children were taken on a magical tour, finding the lock for the smallest key and the door which belonged to the largest key. They gasped in amazement on several occasions, when stories were told of treasure in chests which had been locked with seven different keys, and secret doors, hidden behind walls.

We even witnessed the key which stopped the water flowing through the beautiful font! Once again, the magnificent resource of our beautiful Cathedral, right on our door step, never ceases to amaze us, with the wealth of learning experience and sheer excitement and wonder it brings to our smallest children. A huge thank you to Mr. Davies and Mr. Ringwood-Hoare for allowing us an Insider view to these wonderful works of art.
