Musical harmony with Bryanston School

On Tuesday evening a group of string players from Bryanston came to Salisbury Cathedral School to perform a concert of ensemble music and solo items.

The quality of musicianship on display was inspirational across the board and it was wonderful to see three former SCS students playing to such a high standard.

The concert culminated with our senior string players joining the Bryanston students to perform La Cumparsita, a wonderfully rhythmic piece with Argentinian influences. 13 violinists, two violists, four 'cellists and no fewer than three double bass players, all from years 5-8, took to the stage and the sound of all the instruments together was uplifting and exciting to behold.

Well done to all the children who took part.
