Art at Salisbury Cathedral School is fun!

Pupils have the opportunity to explore a wide range of different skills in their weekly Art lessons, ranging from silk painting to screen printing. They follow a theme for the year and the topic of ‘Woodland’ is currently helping the pupils to generate a wealth of excellent artwork.

The culmination of the work by all of the pupils throughout the year is celebrated in an annual whole school art exhibition, where everyone can admire the creativity of the pupils. We also take part in the annual Prep Schools Art Exhibition, this year held at Cheltenham College Junior School.

In addition to lessons, keen artists can take part in clubs and activities after school as well working alongside local artists in special workshops.

We plan trips to galleries near and far and those children who show real potential can be prepared for Art scholarships to future schools.
