Location

The Pre-Prep is set to one side of the main Prep school and occupies its own self-contained area. Early years children, (‘Ladybirds’), occupy a shared area which includes a well resourced outside learning area. Year 1, (‘Dragonflies’) and Year 2, ('Busy Bees') are housed in the same building which allows an easy transition. The after school club (‘Little Spires’) occupies an adjacent room.

We enjoy a wonderful school environment, with 27 acres of beautiful grounds lying in the shadow of Salisbury Cathedral. In addition to everyday playtimes, we use the grounds for nature walks, P.E. activities, picnics and special days such as “Under Canvas”. The children are also able to enjoy exploring the Cathedral itself and the grounds of the Cathedral Close. Throughout Pre-Prep, we plan trips within the school grounds and the immediate local environment. We also welcome many visitors to school as part of our enrichment programme.

Because we have a whole school ethos, children in the Pre-Prep use the Prep school building daily. The Bishop’s Palace is the venue for our weekly whole school assembly and we use the Library, ICT suite, Undercroft (where we have lunch) and the Chapel. Our games lessons happen in the grounds, gym and on the astro turf.
