Year 8s play at Cathedral Flower Festival
Last Friday, 17th June, three musicians from Year 8 played in a concert as part of the Cathedral Flower Festival. Surrounded by thousands of flowers they played in the North Transept of the Cathedral whilst a crowd of onlookers watched a simultaneous demonstration of flower arranging. Anita M (violin) played two movements from Vivaldi’s Spring Concerto, Noah W (piano) played pieces by Kabalevski and Sean F (piano) played Beethoven and Chopin. All three performers were joined by Mr Wicks and received warm applause for their performances.
