Year 6 visit from the Augustus Legion
This week as part of the Year 6 history curriculum, the Second Augustus Legion (only 2!) visited the school to bring to life the Year 6 studies on Romans. The children heard about what life was like for a rich Roman lady and what conditions were like for a soldier in the Roman army. The highlight was learning how to march to Latin orders, there was much giggling, especially from the girls who much preferred the idea of being a Roman lady!
