Tea Parties Galore for the Pre-Prep
This week the Pre-Prep children have been enjoying a social whirl. On Monday the children invited their grandparents to come and have tea with them and enjoy a special assembly. The children have been learning this term about what life might have been like when their grandparents were small and they were very proud to show off their work displayed in the classrooms. One grandparent remarked ”It is so lovely to be able to see first hand where they spend their day”. Mrs Rhonda Cartwright, Year 2 teacher said “This is a very special occasion for both the children and the grandparents, and it enhances the family ethos that underpins the values promoted at the Cathedral School.”
Following on the theme of tea parties, the Pre-Prep children were invited to the Mayor of Salisbury’s tea party at Salisbury Museum on Wednesday. The children performed for 15 minutes and received rapturous applause from all the visiting mayors from the region, who were amazed at the quality of performance from such small children.
