Mr Hodson the 'Rock Star'

Many of you will be aware that Mr Duncan Hodson, Head of Science, has a double life. In the evenings and weekends he removes the goggles and lab coat and out comes Mr Hodson the 'Rock Star', lead guitarist in the band ‘Stiff Joints’. Mr Hodson has been playing the guitar for 25 years and joined the band in 2006. They play music from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s including covers of The Beatles, The Eagles and Tom Petty. ‘Stiff Joints’ can be heard once or twice a month gigging at various venues around the Salisbury area, occasionally venturing as far as Bath, Oxford and Brighton. Mr Hodson joined the band as a replacement for his old friend Jolyon Dixon who left ‘Stiff Joints’ due to work commitments with Amy MacDonald. He previously worked with Toyah Wilcox, Rachel Fuller, Mark Owen and The Who to name but a few. Jolyon has remained a good friend of the band and has produced their first CD along with the drummer, Stuart Ross, who also plays bass guitar for Vanessa Mae. He too has worked with most of the people Jolyon has. The CD is available to buy from Mr Hodson for £10 and for each CD sold £2 will be donated to the Salisbury Hospice. What a great Christmas pressie for the child or ageing rocker in your life!
