Courageous Sky Diving Staff
A team of staff and family from SCS completed a Tandem Skydive at Old Sarum Airfield to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer on Sunday 27th March. The team included: Jane Greenfield, Tony Marchant, Sandy White, Alysha Adam, Linda Beach, Nick Denning, Avril Greenstock, Paul Carter and Sandy White's husband, Barry White and her son Ben Grant.
Everyone was terrified, never having done a Sky Dive before, it was clearly quite a daunting experience. Sandy White (Pre-Prep Secretary) had skillfully persuaded the team it was a terrific thing do, not only do they get the thrill of jumping out of a plane, they also get the opportunity to raise a huge sum for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Each member of the team rose to the skies (and the challenge) and successfully parachuted back to the airfield, all relieved to be back on firm ground, some saying "Again, Again!" but many uttering the words "Never Again!" The team were delighted with the number of supporters who turned up on the day, including all the boarders, to cheer them on. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored them, to date they have raised over £3,000 and with the Gift Aid, this figure will be nearer £4,000! An amazing amount, big thanks to Sandy for the inspiration and organisation.
