Author visits the school
Pupils from Years 2 – 8 were delighted to attend a workshop run by Joffre White, a successful children’s author whose recently published book “Frog” is selling well nationally. He told the children that the inspiration for this story came from the bedtime stories which he told to his own son Chris, when he was a small boy. Joffre talked entertainingly about his background and family, his experiences in several walks of life and his many interests, all of which have contributed to the ideas for his stories.
Many children were inspired to buy a signed copy of “Frog” after the presentation. There are currently copies being read in every area of the school - very pleasing to see!
