2011 Music Festival
The Music Festival took place on Saturday 21st May and was a wonderful celebration of music making in our school. Five simultaneous concerts took place throughout the morning with 140 performances ranging from solos to duets, ensembles to family bands. Many of the items were home grown with the children forming partnerships with their friends, arranging the music and practising in their own time. Performers included babes in arms to parents and even the staff provided some items. It is remarkable that no one person could have heard every item although some tried; the audience moving freely between the concerts to provide their own personal concert. The morning ended with a BBQ provided by the chorister parents where the air was filled with conversations cementing a collective memory of a remarkable day in the life of the Cathedral School. IW
