Bursaries / Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded at the start of Year 4 and Year 7, with the assessments taking place the previous Spring. The categories are Academic, Music and Sport, and the value of awards vary up to 15% of the day or 20% of the boarding fee. The Governing Body is also prepared to consider requests for bursary assistance, particularly from those who have been awarded scholarships but are unable to take up the place for financial reasons.Bursaries are awarded following completion of a means test form, and awards are reassessed on an anual basis. Parents wishing to consider applying for a bursary should contact the Bursar. Choristerships are offered by the Chapter of Salisbury Cathedral and are awarded after successful completion of a voice trial, usually when a child is between 7 and 9 years of age. Voice trials are held each January and February. Please apply to the Head Master’s secretary for more information.
